Video: Huge light fixture falls on wrestler

  • South Dakota High school student is OK
  • Fixture weighs 80 pounds

Madison, South Dakota, high school senior Michael McComish was 52 seconds into his match when the event went from being a school event to looking more like a WWE event.

McComish is OK, but just after his match is reset -- as he is preparing to start up again -- BANG! An 80-pound light fixture lands directly on top of him!

He tells HLN affiliate KSFY that the first thing he thought was "What just hit me?!" Then he noticed all the glass around him.

The incident happened at a tournament nicknamed "Madison Square Garden" because the featured match is held under the lights.
