Waiter stands up for child with special needs

  • Family members have been regular customers
  • Their 5-year-old son has Down syndrome
  • Waiter refused to serve other customers who insulted them

A waiter put his tip --  and his job -- on the line to stand up for a child with Down syndrome.

He overheard a customer make a comment about the child -- "special needs children need to be special somewhere else" -- so he refused to serve them.

HLN affiliate KTRK tells how that waiter is now getting support from all over. If you want to help, you can donate to Milo's early education school called the Rise School.
