Every Tuesday on Making it in America, we explore hot new trends and technology that will blow your mind! To learn about some of these latest and greatest tech trends, we invited the one and only Lance Ulanoff, editor-in-chief of Mashable, to share his expertise!

We know about watching shows on the "small screen," like on an iPad or another tablet, but a new revolution is starting to take hold!

It's called second-screen viewing. It's when you're watching TV, while using your phone or tablet to communicate with other people about the show you're watching via Twitter or Facebook

Lance says these three tech trends will undoubtedly change a few things in 2013:

  1. Second-Screen Revolution
  2. Flexible Devices
  3. Embedded Technology / Near-Field Communication

Confused about what those trends actually refer to? Watch the video and get the scoop from Lance himself! Keep up with Lance on Twitter or on the Mashable website.
