Have you hit a weight loss plateau? Are there 10 or 20 stubborn pounds you just can't drop no matter what you do? Dr. Ian Smith of "Celebrity Fit Club" fame says his new book "Shred: The Revolutionary Diet" can help us jumpstart our 2013 weight loss goals Morning Express style.
Eating well doesn't mean having to buy special ingredients, or taking lots of time to prepare them... in fact in less time than it took Carlos Diaz to do his sports segment, Dr. Smith was able to whip up a delicious, healthy smoothie right on our set. Only special equipment required: a blender. Smith says his grape-raspberry smoothie takes 5 minutes to prepare, but it took him less than 50 seconds to get it done on the air. Here's his recipe if you'd like to try and beat his time:
Total time: 5 minutes
Under 200 calories
1 cup dark seedless grapes
1 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
1 tsp sugar, optional
6 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.
