Jodi Arias trial: Self-defense or act of rage?

  • Defense team told jury that Travis Alexander kept Jodi as a "dirty little secret"
  • Jodi Arias is charged with the murder of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander

Jodi Arias killed her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander. Arias stabbed him 29 times, slit his throat and shot him in the face.  Arias' defense team admitted she killed Alexander but they say the real question is why?  The defense says it was out of self-defense.  But does the extent of the wounds to Alexander's body back up their claim or does it show an act of rage?

Jane Velez-Mitchell debates the self-defense argument with a panel of expert lawyers. For more on this case watch Jane Velez-Mitchell weeknights at 7pm ET on HLN.
