Adji Desir was 6 years old when he disappeared from a suburb in Miami, Florida in 2009. He was playing in his grandmother’s front yard when he vanished. Police spent a week searching but came up with nothing. He would be 10 years old today.
Adji’s family is from Haiti. He is disabled and has the mental capacity of a 2-year-old. He knows his name but cannot say it and doesn’t speak or understand English. Adji understands Creole, but doesn’t speak it. He may even hide from searchers.
