Dr. Drew

Driven by current events, "Dr. Drew" on HLN focuses on the human - and human behavior - at the center of the story.

Are we getting the full story about Hillary’s condition?

  • Hillary discharged, 'making good progress on all fronts', spokesman says
  • Doctors found a blood clot in her head
  • Hillary plans to step down once the Senate confirms a successor

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is expected to make a full recovery, a spokesman said Wednesday after doctors discovered a blood clot in a vein between her skull and brain this week.
Doctors say they found the clot during a medical test related to a concussion she suffered in December. She apparently fell ill with severe stomach flu and fainted because of dehydration. That’s how the subsequent concussion occurred. The clot has not resulted in a stroke or any neurological damage.

The former first lady was released from the hospital Wednesday, but does not plan to stay on for President Barack Obama's second term.

On Wednesday night, HLN’s Dr. Drew explained that there’s a little more worth mentioning to this story. Watch the video clip above.

Dr. Drew On Call airs Monday through Wednesday on HLN at 9 p.m. ET.  Follow the show on Facebook and Twitter @DrDrewHLN.
