Tornadoes rake South on Christmas Day

  • Twister ripped right through Mobile, Alabama yesterday
  • More than 100,000 people lost power
  • Blizzard warnings in place for parts of 6 states

Tornadoes were reported from Texas to Alabama on Christmas Day, and there could be more today in Georgia and Florida as the system pushes east.

Storms knocked out power to more than 100,000 people.

At least two deaths are being attributed to the weather: A man in Texas was killed when a tree fell on his pickup, and a woman in Oklahoma died in a traffic accident that may have been caused by snow.

Meteorologist Karen Maginnis is in for Bob Van Dillen on Morning Express with Robin Meade. She'll show us where the severe weather watches and warnings are popping up today. There are also blizzard warnings from the National Weather Service for parts of Arkansas, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana and Tennessee.
