Army dream comes true for 10-year-old with cancer

Soldiers from Ft. Meade in Maryland now count a brave 10-year-old with cancer amongst their ranks.

10-year-old Kahlil Quarles suffers from an aggressive form of cancer that continues to grow despite surgery and radiation. "We decided to stop the treatment," his mom tells affiliate WBAL, "so Khalil can have the best quality of life possible, being a 10-year-old child and enjoying his life."

One of the things he enjoys the most is the thought of becoming a soldier, so a special group of G.I.'s from Ft. Meade surprised him at his home to make that dream come true.
