Gamers call for 'cease fire' to honor victims

  • 'Day of Cease Fire for Online Shooters' is set for December 21
  • Man behind the movement says it's not about politics, calls it a moment of silence for victims in Newtown

An online movement is calling for a day of "cease fire" on Friday, where gamers put down their controllers in honor of the victims in Newtown.

Antwand Pearman, the CEO of Gamer Fit Nation, is the man behind this call for action. He says he doesn't believe video games cause violence but thinks the community should put down their virtual guns in a moment of silence.

"It’s not about politics, it’s about a sense of us being human," he told HLN's Evening Express.

Check out the 'Day of Cease Fire for Online Shooter' Facebook event to learn more about the movement.
