The year's biggest stories, in four minutes

It's a year that brought us new heroes, major tragedies and some of the most intriguing people we've ever seen. Sure, 2012 gave us "Tan Mom," Honey Boo Boo and "Gangnam Style," but it also saw us lose Whitney Houston, Dick Clark and Etta James.

We felt a collective heartache when a gunman killed dozens at a Newtown, Connecticut, elementary school. These are merely a few of the news highlights that made up 2012. Watch and see if there was something here you already had forgotten. More importantly, what will 2013 bring?
