A popular politician, husband and father has been found dead in the exclusive resort community of Saint Simons Island, Georgia.
County Commissioner Tom Sublett’s body was found floating in the water near a dock by a local boat club. The coroner tells Jane Velez-Mitchell that Sublett was shot with a 9MM handgun before his body was dumped in the water.
Sublett was playing poker with friends Monday night and left around 10:30 p.m. He drove a friend to his car and was thought to be heading home to his wife, but he never showed up.
