The Verruto family decided to use the crowdfunding site Indiegogo to try to reach their goal of raising $2,000 for a local orphanage. Well, word got out about their effort, and what happened next is truly what the holiday season is all about.

The deadline for the Kids helping Kids campaign has been extended to Monday, Dec. 24 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Young Alyssa Verruto says her goal is to raise at least $5,000 for these kids in need.
