The Harlem Globetrotters are showing kids some moves on how to fight bullying.
Dizzy, TNT and Big Easy of the iconic basketball team dropped by
Morning Express with Robin Meade to talk about their new community outreach program.
The Globetrotters designed the program in coordination with the National Campaign to Stop Violence (NCSV).
The ABCs of Bullying Prevention focuses on
Action,
Bravery, and
Compassion in an effort to impact schools and communities around the world.
Players will bring “The ABCs of Bullying Prevention" to more than 300 elementary schools and youth centers as part of their 2013 “You Write the Rules” World Tour, celebrating the team’s 87
th consecutive year. Cities in which the program is presented will depend on the team’s touring schedule.
The Globettrotters are also very big supporters of the military. As part of their 11th Holiday Military Tour -- entertaining U.S. troops overseas –- they made history by playing for the first time ever in Afghanistan, wearing specially designed camouflage uniforms.
