‘Tis the season to give and with today’s technology, we can reach a whole lot more people. Two little girls from North Carolina are asking the online community for help in raising $2,000 for kids in need. And in the process, they’re lighting up their entire neighborhood with their project Luminaries for Little Ones.
Every holiday for the past three years, the Verruto family donates toys to children at a local orphanage. This year they want to go big, so they’re going online and asking for YOUR help. They want to provide more gifts than ever to these children in need. The campaign on the crowdfunding site indiegogo is called Kids helping Kids -- A Christmas Wish, and it's set to expire Friday, Dec. 7 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Their goal is $2,000. When the Verrruto family stopped by HLN’s Making it in America, they had raised only about $400, but in just one hour, they raised more than they could have imagined! If you're in the holiday spirit and looking for a way to make someone's Christmas wish this year, check it out. The more money they raise, the more gifts the children will receive!
