It’s something out of a movie and all caught on an incredible dashcam video! Cops say 22-year-old Shawn Bloemer was closing up a gas station convenience store in Louisville, Kentucky when he was attacked, tied up and stuffed into the trunk of his own car.
Police say three suspects tried to steal a tire from Shawn’s car when he caught them in the act. Instead of fleeing, Shawn says one of the suspects attacked him and forced him into the trunk. Cops say the suspects then drove around for hours, trying to buy drugs as Shawn lay bound and helpless in the back.
But then cops noticed expired tags and pulled the car over. In a dramatic rescue, cops arrest the 3 suspects and find Shawn shaken up but unharmed in the trunk. The three suspects now face charges of kidnapping, wanton endangerment and car theft.
Jane talks one of the cops who found Shawn, Detective Daniel Goldburg. For more on this story watch Jane Velez-Mitchell weeknights at 7pm ET on HLN.
