These apps can save you from buying bad gifts

  • 3 apps for your tablet that will make the holidays easy for gift givers and getters

Are you hard to buy for?

HLN digital lifestyle expert Mario Armstrong highlights some apps that promise you will never get another 'bad' holiday gift again. How? Because you get to tell everyone exactly what you want! You can even crowd source your present!

Amazon Santa (for Kindle Fire, iPad) – Children can enter their wish list for Santa on this free app, then parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles don’t have to guess what they want for holiday gifts. – This is for anyone, and not just for Christmas. You create a wish list, and send it to friends and family. They can purchase one of the gifts for you, or just chip in some money for one of them. It’s great for if siblings want to buy a group gift for someone.

Facebook Gifts (formerly Karma) – You can send gifts to people through Facebook. They find out what you’ve sent. They have the option of receiving it (they enter their shipping address), exchanging it for something else (you won’t know), or donating the money to charity.
