In 2010, the winningest female boxer in history was shot and stabbed by her husband, who was also her coach.

Watch this video to see the story of Christy Martin, a boxer who has won 49 matches and graced the cover of Sports Illustrated. With the help of her husband and coach, James Martin, Christy Martin made it to the top of the boxing world.

However, it didn't last. In 2007, Martin's career seemed to have peaked and she was stuck in an unhappy marriage. Martin started using drugs.

Threes later, Martin's husband and coach, James Martin, stabbed and shot her. He claims she started the fight. While, she accuses him of attacking her.

Now, James Martin is on trial for trying to kill Christy Martin.
