UFOs spotted over Kentucky, Illinois?

NEED TO KNOW
  • Air Force says it’s not from nearby base
  • One witness describes it as a 'smaller Sun'

An amateur astronomer isn't sure what he saw in the sky above his Kentucky home on Tuesday.

However, Allen Epling tells HLN affiliate WLEX he is sure of what it wasn't.

"This was no helicopter," he said. "This was no plane."

So what was it? Epling thinks it's of "earthly origin" but until it’s officially identified, it's still a UFO.

Other reports of strange lights in the sky above neighboring southern Illinois were also reported.
