Are misconceptions keeping you off the course

NEED TO KNOW
  • Suzy Whaley is third women to compete on PGA tour
  • Don't wait to start hitting the links

Some misconceptions about golf may be keeping a lot of women from playing and that could be keeping them from the big business deals that are made during the game!  For example you may think:

  • Golf courses are not accessible to female players
  • Golf is too expensive
  • You have to be an experienced player to get on the course

Well, I hit the links with one of your fellow viewers, Kristen Sodemann and we got the truth from PGA pro Suzy Whaley

You can go to HLNtv.com/Robin or PGA.com for more lessons and pictures from my training.  Speaking of which, I need to keep practicing because I'm going to be playing with Bubba Watson, the Masters champ, at the PGA's Pro-Am, right before the Grand Slam of Golf in Bermuda.  Watch that, next week on our sister network TNT.

If you're interested in taking up golf check out "Get Golf Ready."  It's a PGA program designed to get you out on the course in just 5 lessons!

Thanks to the Atlanta Country Club where we shot most of these segments.
