Body found near home of missing Colorado girl

NEED TO KNOW
  • Police not linking crime scene to Jessica Ridgeway case yet
  • The 10-year-old was last seen walking to school near her home Friday

A body has been found just a few miles from where 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway went missing in Colorado. Searchers found the body yesterday near an abandoned mine. But police are not linking the crime scene to the Ridgeway case yet.

Jessica was last seen on Friday heading to school in Westminster, Colorado.

Her parents have been involved in a custody dispute over her, but investigators say they are not suspects.

Authorities held an 8:30 a.m. EDT press conference Thursday to provide updates on the case, but no new information was released.
