Meghan Davies has been dating Army 2nd Lt. Gary Hurst for three years. She moved with him to Fort Sill, Oklahoma, about four months ago to support his military career.
Meghan thought she was coming on HLN’s Morning Express with Robin Meade Wednesday to salute her boyfriend for his service to the country.
What Gary didn’t tell Meghan is that he was planning to surprise her: a proposal, live on our show!
And what we didn’t tell Gary is that we were planning to surprise them both with an all-expenses paid honeymoon package to Jamaica!
All of the surprises are part of an HLN series called Stories of Courage: The Give Back. And we couldn’t have done it without some very generous partners.

Gary and Meghan will spend five nights at the Grand Hotel Rose Hall in Montego Bay. Their stay includes a personal butler service, fabulous restaurants and all kinds of activities like snorkeling, kayaking, windsurfing and tennis.
