Hit by car, dog survives stuck in grille

NEED TO KNOW
  • Car hit Susie the poodle while going 50 miles per hour
  • Driver didn't realize it and kept going for another 11 miles

A very lucky pup in Rhode Island survived a crazy accident. She was hit by a car, but ended up stuck in the front grille. The driver didn't even realize what had happened until someone was able to flag him down, 11 miles later!

Suzie is the adorable white poodle mix at the center of this improbable story. "One of the more bizarre stories by far," Will Muggle of East Providence Animal Control told HLN affiliate WPRI. "We've never come across anything like this."

Unbelievably, Suzie ended up with only a concussion, which has since cleared up... and she seems to be doing just fine now!
