So, Jessica Simpson has finally revealed her post-baby body. She told Katie Couric she's lost more than 40 lbs since giving birth to her baby girl, Maxwell Drew.
How did she do it? Well, she's using Weight Watchers, for one, but she also hits the gym! Her personal trainer, Harley Pasternak, shares some of the exercises he used to help Simpson get back in shape.
Pasternak says it’s easy for moms to lose weight by doing simple exercises, like walking up and down stairs and parking the car a little further away. If you're a new mom, try these exercise tips with your baby:
Squats holding your child in your arms
Baby trunk twist
Baby bench presses
Sit-ups with baby in your lap
Rocking sit-ups with baby in your lap
Pasternak says nutrition is just as important -- if not more important -- as fitness, so remember to exercise and eat healthy:
Eat five times a day
Eat simple meals
Go for sugarless drinks
Don't forget to snacks between meals
And don't deprive yourself of meals
