For many, former Arizona congresswoman Gabby Giffords' determined delivery of the Pledge of Allegiance on the final night of the Democratic National Convention was far and away the most moving moment of the entire event. 

With assistance from her friend Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Giffords took the stage to the chant of "Gabby, Gabby, Gabby!" echoing through the arena.

Her right side is still weak from the shooting... so she held her right hand over her heart with the help of her stronger left hand. 

Then in a halting but strong voice, Giffords led the crowd, some wiping away tears, in the Pledge.
