White caps roll onto iReporter's driveway

NEED TO KNOW
  • The water has gone over the banks of Lake Pontchartrain
  • An iReporter on north side of the lake gives us a personal look at the flooding in his front yard

Gerard Braud decided to ride out Hurricane Isaac at his house on Lake Pontchartrain in Mandeville, Louisiana. (that's on the north side of the lake). The water flowed over the banks, sending white caps into Braud's driveway.

Even though he stands waist-deep in water in his carport, he says his house could take another eight feet. Check out the video above for his live report on HLN's Evening Express.
