Political science professor and Chief Political Correspondent for Politic365 Jason Johnson says Ann Romney was funny and did a good job at closing the gender gap in her speech to the Republican National Convention last night. But, he says, "She did not come across as an everyday woman at all."
New Jersey governor Chris Christie, on the other hand, gave one one of the best speeches so far, according to Johnson. "He was fantastic. [Paul] Ryan has a tough act to follow," he says.
Ryan will take the stage tonight for the first time as the official GOP vice presidential nominee. Johnson says Ryan should talk a lot more about Romney than himself.
