A fine line between middle class and homeless

  • Rashan and Deana Robinson believe voting is part of getting America back on track

Meet the Robinsons. This family is the new face of homelessness in America. Rashan and Deana Robinson are the perfect example of just how quickly middle class stability can disappear in the midst of today’s weak economic recovery. The breaking point between financial steadiness and life in a shelter has become so blurred that a lot of people don’t even see it coming. The economy is the number one issue in this presidential election, as Americans look for guidance and leadership regarding unemployment, job creation and getting Americans back on their feet.

The Robinsons are determined to rebuild their life and they believe that part of that rebuilding process involves going out to vote. They say the past few years have been a wake-up call for them, and it's time that something is done about the state of our economy and the state of our people.
