Teens build wheelchair ramp for amputee

NEED TO KNOW
  • David Green has had seven strokes and has to be carried up stairs to enter his home
  • Teens worked through triple-digit temps to build a ramp for him

A group of teenagers in Arkansas are donating their time and energy to change one man's life forever. They've built a wheelchair ramp for David Green because he couldn’t afford one. Green is an amputee who has had seven strokes. He had to be carried up and down the stairs to enter and exit his own home.

The volunteers work for the Ozark Mission Project and put in seven-hour days in triple-digit temperatures to build the ramp. And they didn't even have any carpentry experience before this!
