How many sex partners is too many?

An Esquire Magazine survey recently found that 22-percent of men have had more than 20 partners.

Do you think a man’s number makes a difference to a woman?

“It should, but it’s just not realistic,” actress and model Claudia Jordan told HLN’s Dr. Drew Wednesday night. “They’re not going to tell you the right number -- and 20 to me? I live in Los Angeles. We’d be happy to find a man that had 20 partners … I don’t’ even bother [asking] anymore.”

Dr. Drew then explained the biology of what goes on in a woman’s brain during an intimate physical encounter.

“It is very different and they get bonded,” he said. "And even when they don’t want to and they want to deny it and suppress it and try to drink it away or whatever, they wake up in the morning and they’re in an altered state. Many times, not always and not all women, there is that potential there, even when they try not to be."

He added, “If you are a man and you’re rampaging and you don’t pay attention to that, you’re going to hurt somebody.”

Dr. Drew airs Monday through Thursday on HLN at 9 p.m. ET. Follow the show on Facebook and Twitter @DrDrewHLN.
