The world is waiting and watching, hoping that an innocent dog will not be put to death. Lennox is a family dog that has never attacked a person but may be put to sleep under a controversial law in Northern Ireland.
Lennox resembles a pit bull, a breed banned in Northern Ireland under the Dangerous Dogs Act. But Lennox’s owner, Caroline Barnes says he is not a pit bull and has never attacked anyone. Regardless, Lennox was taken away from Caroline and sentenced to death 2 years ago.
Since then, a legal battle has raged as hundreds of thousands have signed a petition in support of Lennox. Even celebrities and politicians have tried to come to the dog’s aide. But Tuesday at midnight all legal appeals end. Lennox can now be killed at any moment.
Jane spoke with Victoria Stilwell, host of TLC’s “It’s me or the Dog” who is trying to save Lennox’s life.
