Can you tell when you’re being lied to?

Using a few infamous names such as Casey Anthony and Jerry Sandusky, a viewer asked HLN’s Dr. Drew and legal analyst Lisa Bloom Monday night whether a person can actually have the ability to believe their own lies.

“My experience with people that lie is sometimes they lose track of when they're lying and when they're not,” Dr. Drew said. “Casey Anthony to me had no idea of what was real and what wasn't.  Sandusky feels the same way to me.”

Bloom added, “We have an expression in my law firm: 'People start to buy their own BS'. “They come up with these stories and repeat them over and over again and even convince themselves sometimes.”

What’s your take? Have you ever fallen victim to a great liar?
