Kay Wils Wyma is a self-proclaimed "recovering enabler" who says some moms are helping create a generation of dependent, entitled children. She put her five kids through a year-long experiment where they tackled a new life skill each month. The end result? They actually started liking their projects, which included tasks like making the bed, cooking and putting others first. She chronicles her family's journey in her new book, " Cleaning House."
"When you throw something on their plate that they don’t think they can do and they actually do it, it’s the biggest confidence-building exercise that you can imagine," Wyma told HLN's Evening Express.
