Morning Express anchor Robin Meade sits down with wounded serviceman, Army Sgt. Delvin Maston, to talk about how his life has changed since being injured and how being a participant at the 2012 Warrior Games in Colorado Springs helps him cope.
Maston tells Meade that it was an especially big change when he lost right leg in June of 2009 because athletics were and are a big part of his life. But being around the other "wounded warriors" in Colorado Springs for this event helps him come to grips with what he calls his, "new normal."
He's proud to be an example to others. "Over 1000 people tried out for this event but only 200 athletes were selected," Maston says, "this is the cream of the crop of the injured soldiers."
