The retired Space Shuttle Discovery took off Tuesday morning for its final flight, but not to space.
Discovery is piggybacking on a special Boeing 747 to fly from the Kennedy Space Center to Virginia. The shuttle will then be exhibited at the Smithsonian museum.
For its final goodbye, Discovery did a flyover above the space center and the surrounding area, drawing a lot of people outside to watch.
The exact flight path isn't being released, but the shuttle and it's carrier will not get above 10,000 feet, so it will be very visible to the naked eye. If you live along the southeast coast, be on the lookout. If you spot it, shoot some pictures or video and upload them to iReport.com.
