Why bother with pocket change to buy a Coke? The global beverage brand just launched a new vending machine that only accepts hugs as payment!
It was installed this week at the National University of Singapore as part of the "Open Happiness" marketing campaign. Interestingly, public signs of affection are frowned upon in Singapore, but they're growing among young people. A representative from Coke says people were waiting in line to hug the machine and each other.
They’re hoping to launch more “Hug Me” vending machines across Asia soon.
