Unarmed Trayvon Martin was shot and killed last month by a neighborhood watch volunteer in Sanford, Florida. George Zimmerman made a call to 911 indicating that he thought the youth was up to no good. An operator told him not to follow the teen, but Zimmerman did anyway. Minutes later, Martin was dead. Zimmerman says he fired in self-defense. Martin was carrying a bag of candy and a can of iced tea.
