The accused gunman in the Ohio school shooting has been charged with aggravated murder, attempted aggravated murder and felonious assault. Prosecutors officially charged 17-year-old T.J. Lane Thursday afternoon in juvenile court. He could still be charged as an adult during his next court appearance on March 6.
Lane is accused of shooting five students at Chardon High School Monday morning. Daniel Parmertor, 16, Russell King, 17, and Demetrius Hewlin, 16, died from gunshot wounds; two others are recovering.
Parmertor will be laid to rest Saturday; Hewlin will be buried March 6. Next Thursday would have been his 17th birthday.
Thursday morning, students and parents returned to the school for the first time since the shooting. A line of students and parents stretched along the half-mile walk. Everyone was wearing red and black, the school's colors.
The superintendent opened the building for students and parents to visit the school and receive grief counseling. All classes in the district have been canceled since Monday. They will resume Friday.
