In World War II, black American soldiers fought for our country. During that time and the U.S. occupation that followed, many of them fathered children with white, German women. They were known as "brown babies." In many cases, they were unwanted, unloved, and lost between two countries that didn't want them.
Now there's a documentary highlighting this piece of American history. HLN’s Richelle Carey talks to the executive producer and a “brown baby” about the importance of this film.
