The movie "Act of Valor" promises to be "a film like no other in Hollywood's history." Directors Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh put real active-duty U.S. Navy Seals in their film to essentially play themselves. The story that unfolds -- about a kidnapped CIA operative -- is fiction, but the stars are the real deal.

While we wait for the flick to hit theaters February 24, the guys behind the camera want to send a salute to all the men and women serving in the armed forces overseas, and to first responders back home in the U.S.

If you have a friend or family member serving in the military (deployed or here at home) you can send him or her a Salute to Troops on Morning Express with Robin Meade too.  Just click over to our special iReport assignment ... and your hero could be featured on Morning Express with Robin Meade next!
