The fate of Jennifer Trayers is now in the hands of a San Diego jury. Jennifer Trayers is accused of murdering her husband, Navy Doctor Frederick Trayers, by stabbing him 10 times.
The defense is saying this is a crime of passion, that she is in fact guilty but of manslaughter, not murder. They say she did kill her husband, but that there was no premeditated plan to do so.
The prosecution isn't buying her story. They say an eight page email that Jennifer sent to her husband's mistress, Danielle Robins, proves that she intended to kill him.
Now it is up to the jury to decide if Dr. Trayers death was planned or the result of a horrific act committed in the heat of the moment.
Jane Velez-Mitchell gets reaction from inside the courtroom as both sides present their closing arguments, and speaks to Marcia Clark, the woman who famously prosecuted O.J. Simpson.
