Police have kept quiet about who was inside Baby Ayla Reynolds’ home since she disappeared more than a month ago. But we now know who was inside that night … and where exactly they were.
HLN’s Vinnie Politan took us inside the family home on “Prime News.”
The home belongs to Ayla’s grandmother, Phoebe DiPietro. She was not home that night, but police say Ayla’s aunt and her daughter -- Ayla’s cousin -- were on the ground floor. Ayla was reportedly alone in her own room across the hall. Justin DiPietro, Ayla’s dad, slept in the basement with his girlfriend and her son. This is also where Ayla’s blood was found by investigators.

Ayla’s dad has said he put her to bed on December 16. He says she was gone when he went to check on her the next morning. A spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety says, “We don’t think we got the full story.”
