The parents of missing Baby Lisa Irwin have decided to sit down and talk for the first time in months. And who got the lucky interview? America’s favorite TV shrink: Dr. Phil. HLN's Vinnie Politan and Special Report are digging in on the story.
The interview has already been pre-recorded but airs exactly four months to the day since Baby Lisa disappeared. That’s also around the beginning of the TV ratings period known as “sweeps,” when networks and TV shows typically put out their best stuff.

HLN Law Enforcement Analyst Mike Brooks is pretty fired up about the upcoming interview and says the whole thing is pointless:
"What in the hell is Dr. Phill gonna do to help them find that baby?" says Brooks. "Talk to law enforcement!"
CNN correspondent Jim Spellman tells Vinnie that people close to the family say the parents -- Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin -- were not paid by Dr. Phil’s show.
Baby Lisa was last seen on October 3, 2011. She was reported missing the next morning, after her father came home from work. Captain Steve Young, spokesperson for the Kansas City Police Department, says, “Leads have dwindled in quantity and quality." He also says investigators would still like to speak to Baby Lisa’s parents.
The episode of Dr. Phil featuring Baby Lisa’s parents airs February 3.
Don't miss Special Report with Vinnie Politan at 5 p.m. ET weekdays on HLN
