The Los Angeles coroner has identified the man who's severed head, hands and feet were found near the "Hollywood" sign.

Officials have not released his name yet and they are still working to notify his family. They have not identified any suspects at this time.

Police have said all along that they believe all of these parts come from the same body and that the person was killed somewhere else and that the parts were brought to this area. At this time, the only information available about the victim is that it is a white male, 40-60 years old, with salt and pepper hair.

Jane Velez-Mitchell sat down with the woman who made the gruesome discovery.

Lauren Kornberg and her mother were walking dogs in the park when one of the dogs pulled something out of the brush. The dog pulled at it and Lauren saw something roll away. At first she thought it was a soccer ball, but when she went closer she realized it was something much worse.

Lauren tells Jane, “At first I thought it was a movie prop … I hoped it was a movie prop.”

Lauren describes what she saw to Jane and talks about what it felt like to make the grisly discovery.
