Navy Corpsman gives family a holiday shock!

As a writer for Morning Express, I watch our "Salute to Troops" everyday and get a little misty. I soon found myself with my own personal connection to them.

My boyfriend Brock deployed to Afghanistan with a Navy SEAL team in March. He wasn’t supposed to come home until February but I got a call one day with him singing "I'll be home for Christmas." We received even better news when we found out he'd be home by Thanksgiving! So, we decided to surprise his whole family on Thanksgiving Day and they had NO idea.

Keeping it from his family was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do and I got a little too good at lying. I even got a little grief from his dad for being in on the secret (as you'll see in the video) -- but I think he’ll forgive me soon.
