In September, Army Sergeant 1st Class Aaron Causey lost his legs to an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan. He'd made it through two tours in Iraq, but on this trip, tragedy struck.
Once he was able to begin processing what had happened, Causey says he decided he would walk again. In fact, he wasn't going to go home until he could walk through his parents front door in Anniston, Alabama -- before Christmas. Three months to the day of the attack, he walked on new prosthetic legs, and this past weekend, he lived up to the second part of that promise.
In front of a crowd of thousands who all rallied together to welcome him home, Causey stood and hugged his parents, and later walked through their front door with days to spare!
