The search for missing 20-month-old Baby Ayla intensifies. HLN's Nancy Grace has all the latest details as police and foresnsic units are now scouring dumpsters in the area and seizing cars.
Ayla's father went on the record for the first time Wednesday about his missing daughter. The Morning Sentinel says Justin DiPietro gave a statement to Waterville Police saying that he's cooperating with investigators.
He also sheds light on the conflict between him and the girl's mother. “Contrary to some statements floating around out there, I have been in communication with Ayla’s mother over the last couple of weeks," and says he's always wanted to work with Trista Reynolds to share custody.
But tot dad added: “I will not make accusations or insinuations towards anyone until the police have been able to prove who is responsible for this" and wrote his family and friends “will continue to do everything we can to assist in this investigation and to get Ayla back home.”
