Day one of Kris Jenner's book tour was anything but what she had originally expected, as the Kardashian matriarch was forced to spend most of the day answering questions not about her new book, but about why her daughter Kim hastily broke off her uber-publicized marriage to Kris Humphries after just 72 days.
Her visit to ABC's "The View" began in tears and ended with Joy Behar asking if Kim was planning on returning the blender she gave to Kim as a wedding gift." Later, Jenner dropped by the Joy Behar Show with not one--but TWO blenders. After that broke the ice (pun intended), the conversation quickly turned to Kim, who happens to be spending a few days in Australia--conveniently thousands of miles away from the American press.
"What’s important to me is that Kim’s okay and that she is happy, and that she is going to get through this," Kris tells Joy. "Yes this is a horrible time but she had a very difficult decision to make and it’s for me to stand by her. Who am I to judge her or tell her what she should or shouldn’t do? This is what she felt was necessary right now and I just want her to be okay."
Joy asked Kris if maybe she should have warning her daughter about getting engaged to Humphries after only knowing him for a few short months. "Well I would have if I hadn’t met and married Bruce Jenner in five months." Jenner was quick to agree with Joy that "the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree."
Finally, Joy also asked Kris if she did anything to keep the marriage going. Jenner's response: "She didn’t want to keep going on, she just wants to make everybody happy and that’s part of Kim’s problem that she’s got such a big heart."
