If you’re familiar with Caitlin Crosby’s music, self-love, body image and caring for others would probably come to mind. Her music is an extension of how she lives her life everyday. The actress and music artist constantly spreads love and positivity even on her social media accounts – Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. This may be the reason why it was so easy for her side project engraving inspirational words on keys to turn into a charitable endeavor.
In 2008, she officially started The Giving Keys after receiving compliments on a old hotel key she had engraved. Her company's mission is to help people out of homelessness while empowering them and others through the sale of recycled keys with inspirational words. The Giving Keys also spreads their message of hope on Facebook and Twitter.
Crosby also co-founded loveyourflawz.com. She encourages people to embrace their flaws and appreciate their natural beauty. This starts with rejecting the unrealistic ideals we see in magazines.
Many have contributed to the video below that is on her websiteincluding celebrities such as Margaret Cho, Russell Simmons, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jordan Sparks and more. At 1:15 into the video, Crosby sings her song "Flawz" from her debut album with the same title.
