A Chihuahua puppy born without legs has a new set of wheels!
The Indianapolis vet that is currently fostering "Turbo" says the disabled dog was born without his front legs.
After a local couple brought the puppy in, veterinarians started working to develop a cart for the small puppy. According to RTV6, a dog can't be fitted for a "regular cart" until it is 6 months old.
They originally used toy parts for the dog's cart, but those were too "flimsy." According to Turbo's Instagram, "a sweet guy at #lowesdepartmentstore" helped them improve the cart with copper wiring."
The new cart has helped Turbo's mobility. "He's very much a typical Chihuahua. He's rowdy and loves to play and will attack your shoe," The vet's Practice Manager Amy Birk told RTV6.
The veterinarian clinic says many people are interested in adopting Turbo.
